CB Account
Definition
The CB (Collective Bill) Account is a highly specialized master data Contract Account node structurally configured as a parent grouping entity explicitly to consolidate the aggregated statistical receivables generated from hundreds of individually measured subordinate tenant accounts.
Business Purpose and Architecture
A housing company requires independent meters at each apartment to audit consumption, but demands one unified financial statement. Architecturally, the utility links every tenant’s Contract Account strictly utilizing a special parameter pointing to the designated master CB Account. Because the CB Account is assigned a specific Contract Account Category defining it as a collector, the FI-CA engine instantly knows to circumvent standard direct clearing at the child level, redirecting Dunning, correspondence, and payment lots entirely up to the parent entity.
