Print Document

Definition

The Print Document is the definitive, unalterable final output structure bridging an SAP Utilities calculation run and the literal paper (or digital PDF) invoice presented to the customer. It contains every single formatted string of data required for rendering, spanning across multiple underlying contracts.

Business Purpose and Architecture

The business purpose is to create a legally binding artifact. The Print Document freezes all the complex database identifiers into formatted, readable outputs. Architecturally, it resides entirely downstream of the Invoicing layer. It draws “posting relevant” lines and “information” lines from the Invoicing records, merges them with overarching Contract Account settings (like correspondence formats or budget billing thresholds), and passes them straight into the SAP Output Management architecture.
