Print Action Record

Definition

A Print Action Record is a dynamic data object in SAP Utilities bound to an account, contract, or generated document that forcefully triggers a specific graphical exception or string of explicit text to appear on the final physical bill layout.

Business Purpose and Architecture

Utilities often need to communicate specific circumstances to consumers without altering core master data text (for instance, explicitly printing “Your manual bill correction is attached” or applying a localized promotional coupon code). Architecturally, this is embedded heavily inside Manual Billing interactions. When the Invoicing process evaluates a Contract Account and spots an active attached Print Action Record, it injects the customized variable directly into the resulting Print Document stream right before rendering the final PDF or print spool file.
