Sales Statistics

Definition

Sales Statistics is the fundamental S/4HANA analytical data domain tasked specifically with retaining and mapping deeply granular transactional Invoicing intelligence (quantities, net amounts, fractional taxes, categorical reversals) decoupled entirely from standard operational FI-CA receivables management.

Business Purpose and Architecture

Utilities must audit consumption trends. Architecturally, an invoice document contains heavy operational logic (due dates, clearing statuses). During printing, targeted extractors (reliant upon DBESTA index structures) sweep the completed Invoicing lines specifically for quantitative statistical data designated dynamically by Update Groups in the Rate Category. Exclusively transferring these specific figures into BI via extremely optimized interfaces allows the utility to produce massively complex corporate performance scorecards without storing redundant operational logic.
