Statistical Budget Billing
Definition
Statistical Budget Billing is a deferred execution financial procedure where monthly installment amounts intended to flatten a customer’s payment curve are maintained purely as shadow data without functionally logging real accounts-receivable general ledger debit entries until physical payment clears.
Business Purpose and Architecture
Certain legal retail environments prohibit a utility from recognizing revenue or recognizing legal debt for energy that has not yet been consumed. Architecturally, Statistical Plans circumvent this. When the Invoicing engine generates the monthly requested $100 Print Document, FI-CA registers it only as a statistical marker. It does not hit the actual true general ledger balance sheet until the customer’s actual fiat payment natively clears through the automated lockbox channels.
