Outsorting Group
Definition
The Outsorting Group is a highly specific master data tag within SAP Utilities, typically housed inside the Rate Category(and occasionally manually overridden within a specific Contract).
Business Purpose and Architecture
The business purpose of the Outsorting Group is segmentation. A residential homeowner requires entirely different exception parameters than an industrial smelting plant. Architecturally, the Outsorting Group connects the broad abstract master data structure of the customer directly to the logic of the Check Pool. During execution, SAP dynamically cross-references the Outsorting Group assigned to the active contract against the current Billing Procedure, outputting the exact list of algorithms it must execute before a document is deemed clean.
