Outsorting Checks
Definition
Outsorting Checks are predefined, highly customizable logical gatekeepers executed automatically during massive execution runs designed to flag, halt, and isolate highly implausible or financially dangerous documents.
Business Purpose and Architecture
When algorithms run millions of calculations unsupervised, errors compound rapidly. Outsorting Checks exist to protect company revenue and customer trust. Architecturally, they are independent ABAP function modules mapped directly against specific processes. While Billing checks logic like “Did meter usage spike 500%?”, Invoicing runs checks like “Is the final Total Gross over $10,000?” Failed checks block the immediate subledger post, routing the document directly into an exception workbench for a human Dispatcher to manually review and release.
