Check Pool

Definition

A Check Pool represents the comprehensive repository of all plausibility checks natively integrated or custom-scripted within the SAP Utilities environment configured for Outsorting execution.

Business Purpose and Architecture

Its business purpose is to centralize exception configurations. Utilities frequently deploy hundreds of validation rules (e.g., verifying budget-billing tolerances or peak limits). By organizing them in the check pool, the system simplifies assignment. Architecturally, when a specific contract validates through billing, the active Outsorting Group maps to this Check Pool via rigid SAP customizing to pull out the exact array of ABAP function modules necessary to validate the document at that instant.
